The Homer Arts Advisory Committee offers the opportunity for community
members of all ages to be involved in the performing arts. If you play
an instrument or sing, please join the Homer Area Community Band or
Chorus and share your talents.
If you are interested in helping us to develop programming in the visual arts, dance, literary endeavors, or support and promote the arts in general, please join and assist planning these programs for the future. Come make the arts a part of your life! | ||

Homer area school students of all ages will continue to have the
opportunity to submit works of art to the ãArts in Public Placesä
program. Painting, drawing, sculpture, jewelry, and any other visual art
will be placed on display for the exhibition. Selected artwork will be
matted and framed and then offered for leasing by area businesses to
display in offices and stores for a limited time. Framed work will then
be returned to the artists.

Planning continues to launch this project. We are presently looking at a
tie-in with the opening of the new Homer Public Library. Everyone in the
community will be invited to submit original works for publication in
our Homer Arts Annual.

This volume will contain poetry, short fiction, short essays and reminiscences, photographs, drawings, paintings, and music. |
