Homer Area Community Foundation

Foundation hours are:
10am-2pm Tuesday-Friday.

The Homer Area Community Foundation (HACF) was founded as an affiliate of the Battle Creek Community Foundation in 1994. The Community Foundation was created to serve as a catalyst to develop and administer permanent resources to address the needs of the Homer area. Since its humble beginnings, the Community Foundation has grown to a current value of over one million dollars. The Community Foundation continues to be funded through the generousity of caring donors who recognize the great variety of important needs in our community can only be addressed by combining the resource of many individuals and organizations.
The mission of the Homer Area Community Foundation is to promote philanthropy within our community.  We are committed to enhancing and improving the quality of life in the Homer area through the establishment and maintenance of a collection of permanently endowed funds.

The Capacity to Lead

The Homer Community Foundation promotes and enables community-wide philanthropic giving
to enrich and improve the lives of residents in Homer and the surrounding area.

We accomplish this vision by:

1)   Attracting and holding permanent endowment funds for a wide range of donors.

2)   Identifying and addressing community needs through a strong grant-making program.

3)   Providing leadership as a collaborator/convener on important community issues and projects.
