HACF awards grants, scholarships

The Homer Area Community Foundation (HACF) has awarded grants totaling
$9,002 from their Homer Youth Advisory Committee Fund, the Fund for
and the Bessie Edwards Fund.
Grants were awarded as follows:
Tara Wilbur’s sophomore English class was awarded $250 for partial
of a class trip to see a mini play production.
The Homer Historical Society received $1,000 to partially fund the
publication of Ties to Homer.
The Homer Recycling Center was awarded $4,500 to assist in establishing
permanent recycling facility in the Homer Community.
The Homer Community Schools Art Club received $2,000 for the integration
of digital photography technology into the art curriculum as well as
The Homer Community Schools Instructional Media Center received $600

Homer POWER for Kids Scholarship - Graig Brooks, $250
SLF/Blair Scholarship - Myra Colson, $500
Bessie L. Smith Scholarship - Myra Colson, $500
Harry and Linda Lucyshyn Memorial Scholarship - Kathryn Campbell, $500
FFA Scholarship - Quint Butters, Kara Butters, Kenda Butters, Kathryn
Campbell and Mayla Campbell, $60 each
Folk Family Scholarship - Kara Diegert, $1,000
